5 Tips for Advertising on Social Networks (via Target Marketing)

I talked about creating a cool brand last week and roughly on selecting your target audience. Today, I came across a webzine discussion on  Social Media Marketing.

Social Networks are the perfect place for marketers to connect (or at least raise awareness) with their prospective customers due to the high traffic generated in these sites.

We all see ads on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, everywhere. If you notice, the advertisers are very consistent. Most of them don’t just target on either of the social networks but spreading there fishing net across all the social media sites – hoping to catch more fish. Yet, you may find that the “approach” to each individual network may differ, i.e. the copy of the ad, graphic and images.

Here are the 5 tips for advertising on social networks:

  1. Select the right target audience
  2. Be visual
  3. Choose words that resonate
  4. Experiment with your ads
  5. Track and optimize your campaigns
